NISL Rocks Cluster Configuration
|
|
The Neurodynamics of Intentional Systems Lab (NISL) boasts a 26 node / 54 processor cluster as part of our research equipment. The cluster functions both as a computing cluster for HPC modeling, as well as dual use for development stations for GA’s and a small 20 seat classroom for Linux, AI and HPC classes.
We recently moved over to using the Rocks 5.0 cluster configuration distribution, and are quite happy with it (from our previous experience of using Oscar, which appears to be dead development wise).
Some cluster stats:
- Server: CPU: Intel Core 4 Quad Q6700 2.66Ghz Mem: 4Gb Arch: x86_64
- 14 Nodes: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66Ghz Mem: 1Gb Arch:x86_64
- 5 nodes: CPU: Intel Pentium D 3.00 Ghz (Dual processor) Mem: 1Gb Arch x86_64
- 5 nodes: CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz (Dual processor) Mem: 1Gb Arch i386
- 1 nodes: CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.667 Ghz (Dual Processor) Mem 2Gb Arch i386
